Dumped Love Island star Amber Beckford convinced Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is ‘playing a game majority of the time’

Amber Beckford may no longer be on Love Island, but her discord with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu appears to have continued outside the villa.

On last night’s Aftersun, the programme’s sister show, Amber and fellow dumped islander Ikenna Ekwonna joined host Laura Whitmore for a debrief after being sent home.

Having discussed what it’s been like to watch their respective former partners Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack form a new romance in their absence, conversation turned to Ekin-Su, who’s been at the centre of much of the drama this series after yo-yoing between prospective suitors, including Davide Sanclimenti, Jay Younger and now new bombshell Charlie Radnedge.

During a previous episode of Love Island before her exit, Amber butted heads with Ekin-Su, telling the soap actress to her face that she’s questioned whether she’s playing a game.

It appears Amber’s point of view hasn’t changed in the days that followed, as she told Laura on Aftersun that she’d find Ekin-Su ‘so genuine at one point’, before drawing the conclusion that she was ‘just playing a bit of a game’.

The nanny remarked that while she acknowledged it was ‘great TV’, Ekin-Su’s supposed game-playing ‘for 24 hours was a bit much’, as she emphasised that she seemed to act in that way ‘the majority of the time’.

Amber even shared that she and the other girls would feel as though there was a ‘new Ekin in the building’.

The dumped islander didn’t seem to have any qualms speaking out against Ekin-Su, despite the fact that the latter’s mother and brother were in the Aftersun audience watching.

Speaking of Ekin-Su’s brother, he revealed that a flair for the dramatic runs in the family, as he admitted that he ‘hates all the guys’ in the villa when asked for his opinion on Ekin-Su’s quest for love.

Near the end of the programme, when Laura described Ekin-Su on Love Island as ‘TV gold’, he revealed that he hasn’t been surprised by his sister’s journey in the villa so far.

‘Mate I’m not gonna lie, people ask me, “Is it weird to see your sister on TV?” And I’m just like, “Mate, I expected this to happen from day dot,”’ he said.

‘You know, I think she’s really born to do this. I’m glad you guys are starting to see my sister on TV now and see how she’s like, and now you’re seeing my face on your screens everyone – get used to it, because you’re gonna see a lot more.’

As the audience laughed at Ekin-Su’s brother’s frank statements, Laura quipped: ‘It runs in the family, doesn’t it! I feel like a family show – Kardashians, watch out.’

To be honest, we’d love to see it happen.

‘Ekin-Su’s brother! Those kids are born for reality tv! ITV better lock this family down for something,’ one person wrote.

Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
