Nowhere To Run: Abused By Our Coach

From gymnastics to football, sport is sadly littered with cases where coaches have taken advantage of their position of trust to abuse the young athletes in their care.

Athletics is the sport in the spotlight here as sports presenter Charlie Webster , herself abused as a young runner, returns to Sheffield to find out how the other girls in her running group suffered at the hands of a coach – who was later jailed – and what impact that abuse has had on their lives.

Available now.

Prepare for another true-life crime saga (Picture: Jessica Miglio)

Detroit in the 1980s is the setting for this true-life crime saga that lifts the lid on the nefarious dealings of the Flenory brothers, a duo who rose from the Motor City’s meanest streets to become major players in the drugs trade.

Authenticity is ensured with the presence of Demetrius ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory Jr , son of one of the original brothers among a cast which also features Snoop Dogg, taking a break from his food delivery schedule.

Episode one available Sunday, new episodes weekly.

If you had to write down the sound that Netflix makes when it bounces a new title on to your screen, how would you spell it?

The good people at Netflix have settled on ‘Tudum’ which, although it looks like the name of a Middle Eastern city, actually works if you play it in your head (though it kind of needs a hyphen, as in Tu-Dum!)

Styled as a Netflix Global Fan Event, Tudum is a three-hour livestream preview of what the channel has in store, stuffed to the brim with soundbite-sized contributions from names including Jennifer Aniston, Henry Cavill, Jennifer Lawrence, Idris Elba and a zillion more.

Kicking off at 5pm on Saturday, it will be broadcast on Netflix’s YouTube channel, in addition to Twitter, Twitch and Facebook. Full details on

See how the dirt is dished in the Scandi political arena in this Swedish drama. Prime minister Elvira Kropp is about to throw in the towel and it looks like enterprise minister David Ehrling is the chosen one to be successor.

But he’s on holiday when the news breaks and the race is on to silence the skeletons rattling around in his closet.

Box set available Friday.
