The star will be returning to the role of Geralt of Rivia, where he is set to go on new adventures with Princess Ciri (Freya Allen) and Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra).
And while filming the upcoming episodes, the actor has made sure to keep in shape – by training up in the Lake District.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a picture of himself surrounded by stunning scenery as he went for a run in the hills.
‘Witcher training focuses on three major aspects… Speed, explosive power, and fitness,’ the 37-year-old wrote in the caption. ‘Which can hurt!’
He pressed: ‘I haven’t had the opportunity to run for miles up hill since Gibralter many years ago!
‘But there is no better place to get back into that groove than the Lake District here at home in the UK. This place has just stormed into my top 3 favourite places in the world!
‘Absolutely love it.’
Fans were quick to comment and thanked Henry for ‘spoiling’ them with the snap.
‘You’re so beautiful,’ one wrote while another said: ‘You look very handsome and great running. Nice to see you doing your Witcher training and doing morning runs again.’
Someone else added: ‘Good morning love! Thank you for spoiling us with post and story!!! Glad to see you are doing fine! Take care and stay safe love.’
And it seems others were just as pleased to see him: ‘Oh my… Thank you @henrycavill for granting our request. What a beautiful view! Glad you’re enjoying yourself.’
A beautiful view indeed.
Filming for The Witcher season two was shut down in March following the coronavirus outbreak, however, he cast and crew returned to set in August, seeing a string of changes written into the script for them to accommodate the social distancing measures.
It’s unknown where the plot will take the character, but it seems we’ll soon find out in the New Year.
