On Thursday’s edition of This Morning, National Television Awards nominee Alison Hammond ventured to a secret location to make someone’s day in a game of Dosh On Your Doorstep, unaware that the person in question would be one of the most memorable winners ever on the programme.
Before Alison knocked on her door, Holly and Phillip tried calling the woman up on the phone, expressing their frustration as they reached her voicemail.
However, once they got through to her, the woman quickly began screaming at the top of her lungs as she realised what was happening, leaving the This Morning co-hosts in stitches.
‘That was definitely worth it, wasn’t it?’ Holly said, as Alison arrived at the front door with a full-size cut out of herself.
As the woman answered her door, she jumped up and down as she continued to scream, before hugging and kissing the cut-out of Alison.
Holly and Phillip were gasping with laughter as the incredible reaction continued, as Alison told the camera that they were going to cut to a break to give the winner a chance to calm down.
Holly said that the participant was her ‘favourite ever’, as Phillip reiterated that she was the ‘best ever’. We have to agree!
Holly added that she didn’t care if the woman didn’t answer a ‘single question’ because of how entertaining her reaction was.
Nonetheless, she managed to win £1,000 in a game of pin the NTAs award onto the Alison cut-out, as her neighbours watched on proudly.
Several This Morning viewers remarked that this particular game of Dosh On Your Doorstep was one to remember.
‘Best reaction to Dosh On Your Doorstep ever!’ one person tweeted.
‘Dosh on your doorstep reaction… funniest thing I’ve seen in ages,’ another said.
The winner told Alison that she was going to use the money to help her mother meet her children, as her mum, who lives in America, has never met her grandchildren.
Later on today, Holly and Alison are set to go head-to-head at the NTAs in the best TV presenter category.
Earlier on This Morning, Alison revealed in a sweet moment that she voted for Holly, despite being her competitor at the awards ceremony.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
