How To Build A Sex Room: Netflix drops teaser for newest interior design programme featuring candle-lit spa and rock ‘n’ roll dungeon

From Selling Sunset to Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, Netflix has always provided the property porn and interior design tips that fans are desperate for.

But their newest show, How To Build A Sex Room, is a bit raunchier than the traditional home makeover programmes.

Luxury interior designer Melanie Rose helps couple transform their ordinary homes into spaces with a little more spice, and it’s pretty epic.

The stylish spaces let couples live out their wildest fantasies, whether they include whips, poles, or everything else in between.

‘When people hear the words “sex room”, they concentrate on the word “sex”, and that connotes “dirty, disgusting,”‘ Rose explains in the trailer.

‘But when I design them, they can be beautiful, and they are places where couples can explore their deepest fantasies.’

And from the looks of it, fans are pretty into what they’ve already seen.

One Twitter user wrote: ‘This is soo my type of show,’ while another commented: ‘This is so weird and I’m still going to watch.’

A third joked: ‘That’s a lot of dry clean only fabrics in a room that’s intended to see a lot of bodily fluids.’

In each episode, Melanie interviews a couple looking to spice up their boudoir into a luxury adult toy-room.

After interviewing the couple and finding out their turn-ons and turn-offs, she designs the sexy space and reveals it to the couple.

One lady even thanks Melanie, calling her an ‘angel’ for saving her marriage by the end of it, while others enjoy their new play space.

One transformation involves a bath-tub surrounded by candles, while another features a red X-cross with ankle and wrist cuffs.

Lucious fabrics and dark colours feature throughout, as one room hosts a pole in the middle and another homes a wall of whips.

As if that wasn’t enough to fulfil the interior design inspiration that fans cherish, Netflix announced yesterday that the queen of luxury real estate programmes, Selling Sunset has been renewed for two more seasons.

The show follows the likes of Chrishell StauseChristine Quinn, and Mary Fitzgerald as they navigate their personal and professional lives working as agents in Los Angeles.

With all the drama, property porn and incredible fashion we got from season five, fans can expect plenty more to come from the real estate agents of the Oppenheim Group across the upcoming seasons six and seven, as production is expected to begin this summer.

How to Build a Sex Room launches on Netflix on July 8.
