I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! bosses are reportedly forcing the campmates to sanitise and wash more to avoid a coronavirus outbreak.
According to reports, producers want to avoid another Strictly crisis, which saw boxer Nicola Adams pull out of the competition after dancing pro Katya Jones tested positive for Covid-19.
‘Regular washing is the way to keep the bug at bay, as the government has reiterated from the word go,’ a source said.
‘ITV have worked so hard to get to this point, so the last thing they want is something to derail that.’
TV bosses have had to make a lot of changes and take extra safety precautions this year, just so the series could go ahead.
The show, which is usually held in Australia, is being held at Gwrych Castle in Wales due to travel restrictions.
Hosts Ant and Dec are doing their bit to keep everyone safe, by ensuring they keep socially-distanced from the campmates during Bushtucker Trials.
Despite bosses taking all safety measures they can, there is still a risk that one of the crew could bring them into contact with the virus.
However, after self-isolating, and testing negative for the virus, the professional dancer was given the go-ahead at the last minute by bosses.
