The Ladies took on one of the ‘smelliest and most disgusting’ Bushtucker trials ever on Sunday night’s I’m A Celebrity, winning 10 stars for camp.

Ant and Dec described the Bar-Baric trail as one of the most pungent in the show’s history, with celebrities covered in offal, fish guts and stinking slime.

Before the trial, the presenters explained that the celebrities would be locked in two chambers and tasked with working together to unlock their cages and find stars inside locked boxes.

Victoria, Beverley, Giovanna, Ruthie, Jessica and Hollie all worked together to tackle rats, snakes and tarantulas in one of the most unpleasant tasks in recent memory.

The group decided that Giovanna would go first to grab the first few stars as quickly as possible, while Victoria volunteered to go last and face the very worst conditions at the end of the trial.

‘This is why I went into journalism,’ she joked at the end of the trial, covered in offal and fish guts.

Five out of the six celebrities managed to find their stars, meaning they won a total of 10 meals for camp.

Fans agreed with Ant and Dec that the trial was one of the ‘most disgusting’ they’d ever seen on the show.

‘The girls are doing brilliantly. This is a disgusting trial,’ one said.

‘Is it me or are these trials more difficult/gross than normal?!’ another added.

It comes after the campmates were divided into the Lords and the Ladies, with six celebrities on each team. The two halves of the camp went head to head for the first time on Friday, taking part in the first live trial of the series.

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV at 9pm.
