Ruthie Henshall and Vernon Kay had a secret spat on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! that wasn’t aired.
On Sunday night’s episode, the entire camp was tasked with trying to get treats from home for the camp, with the now-eliminated Ruthie joining forces with Vernon, Victoria Derbyshire and Sir Mo Farah in a tricky board game.
Ruthie and Mo were first up to the arcade style game, which required they use handles to guide a ball down a pathway to them.
When Vernon tried to help from the sidelines, a frustrated Ruthie snapped back at him in anger, and, according to The Sun, she yelled at him: ‘Use your c**k to knock the ball down the hole!’
‘He was trying to be supportive but Ruthie clearly took it the wrong way and briefly barked back at him,’ a source explained.
‘Vernon sometimes goes into host mode, which is only natural given it’s his day job, and she felt it was distracting her focus.
‘They are all good mates and have lived in each others’ pockets for more than two weeks.
‘So it’s only natural that with the high moments there will also be fractious ones.’
Thankfully, Vernon was able to take it on the chin, and they were able to settle their issues by the time Ruthie was sent home.
It’s not known why the team decided to cut the spat from the final edit.
Each ball would earn a key that could potentially unlock a treat from home, but Ruthie and Mo struggled, dropping three out of the five available to them.
Victoria and Vernon fared better though, earning four out of the five balls.
But unfortunately it meant that some of the campmates had to go without, and in a particularly heartbreaking moment Giovanna Fletcher was left in tears when she wasn’t able to receive a message from her husband Tom and her three sons.
The series is now heading towards its final days, and on Monday, a double elimination saw the campsite go from 10 down to eight.
The winner will be crowned on Friday, with the first (and possibly only) King/Queen of the Castle joining the ranks of I’m a Celeb royalty.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs nightly at 9pm on ITV.
