I’m A Celebrity 2021: Ant and Dec roast Boris Johnson in one final dig

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly couldn’t resist making one final dig at Prime Minister Boris Johnson during the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2021 finale.

The TV presenters have kept the nation laughing over the past few weeks with their hilarious political commentary about the endless spate of Downing Street scandals.

On Sunday night, Ant and Dec took one last jab at the Prime Minister before concluding this year’s I’m A Celeb.

After Frankie Bridge left the castle as the third finalist, Dec claimed they’d already booked the first contestant for the 2022 series.

He told viewers: ‘Before we bring the curtain down on this year’s show, we’re looking ahead – rest assured folks, we’re looking ahead. We can let you into a little secret: We’ve already booked out first celebrity for next series, next year already so that’s something to look forward to.’

As Ant mischievously rubbed his hands together, Dec then held up an I’m A Celebrity branded contestant T-shirt with ‘Boris’ printed on the back.

Dec then added cheekily: ‘Evening Prime Minister.’

It comes after Mr Johnson’s impromptu speech delayed the I’m A Celebrity finale by around five minutes earlier in the evening.

Ant and Dec caused quite the stir last week when they mocked the controversial secret Downing Street Christmas party that’s alleged to have taken place last year when the country was placed under strict Covid measures.

A video then surfaced of the PM’s then-press secretary Allegra Stratton joking about the party.

Mocking the scandal, Dec said in a previous episode: ‘It is all change in camp now because yesterday the celebs chose a new leader by the gift of a secret vote.’

Ant continued: ‘It means David’s reign is over, but they weren’t celebrating. They didn’t have a party.

‘They categorically deny any suggestions that they had a party and this fictional party definitely didn’t involve cheese and wine or a secret Santa.’

Earlier in the series, the presenters again roasted the PM when he hit headlines after stumbling through a speech at the Confederation of British Industry and said ‘forgive me’ as he tried to find the correct place in his notes.

Ant and Dec’s hilarious commentary even reached the House of Commons when Keir Starmer gave them a shout-out.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here is available to watch on ITV Hub.
