Jordan North had viewers in hysterics on I’m A Celebrity tonight, after finding his ‘happy place’ during a terrifying Bushtucker Trial.
The Radio 1 DJ found himself surrounded by snakes during the Viper Vault trial, and comforted himself by imagining he was at the Burnley football ground Turf Moor.
Ant and Dec could resist laughing at Jordan repeatedly screaming out the name of the ground, with the DJ going on to win an impressive nine out of 10 stars for camp.
Burnley are currently second from the bottom of the Premier League and are yet to win a game this season. The presenters joked that if Turf Moor was his happy place, they would ‘hate to see his unhappy place’.
Jordan, who is claustrophobic and terrified of snakes, battled against his fears on Monday night’s show.
The terrified DJ screamed his way through the trial, relaying messages to Shane in a separate box in order to open safes inside their vaults.
Poor old Jordan will be taking on the next Bushtucker Trial of the series too, after being selected by the public. He’ll be joined by Vernon Kay and Beverley Callard for Frights of The Round Table, the first eating challenge of the series on Tuesday.
This year’s I’m A Celebrity is taking place at the supposedly haunted Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, with travel to the Australian rainforest rendered impossible due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Fans seemed to be enjoying the new setting, with some even claiming they preferred it to I’m A Celeb’s usual camp.
I’m A Celebrity continues daily at 9pm on ITV.
