Jason Fox and Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham will return for the next series of SAS: Who Dares Wins despite Ant Middleton being sacked by Channel 4.

Both officers have agreed to new contracts with Channel 4, despite their pal Ant – with whom they’ve been filming SAS: Who Dares Wins Australia – being dropped by the broadcaster over his personal conduct.

‘We can confirm that Foxy and Billy will be part of the new series, airing next year,’ a spokesperson for SAS: Who Dares Wins revealed.

‘Other members of this elite squad will be confirmed nearer the time.’

Channel 4 is still on the hunt for Ant’s replacement, with producers now said to be looking outside of the UK for a new DS.

‘They want to add an international instructor to the cast for the next series later this year and are especially keen on a Seal, it’s got glamour and they know having a tough talking American on the show is only going to add some star quality,’ a source told The Sun.

‘It may also ruffle a few of the other instructors’ feathers, as they feel it’s all a bit too matey at the moment, they want it to be edgy on and off the camera.’

Ant has torn into ‘woke patrol’ Channel 4 on numerous occasions since his exit, claiming he was going to walk from SAS: Who Dares Wins.

‘It’s just smoke and mirrors. It’s just them getting in there first, because they knew I was going, they wanted to protect their brand,’ he said.

At the time of his departure, Channel 4 said: ‘Our decision not to renew Ant Middleton’s contract and not to work with him again was solely based on his personal conduct off camera and is not related to his on-screen persona as a DS.

‘SAS: Who Dares Wins will continue to be as tough as it’s ever been.’

Ant will, however, still front the upcoming celebrity version of SAS: Who Dares Wins.

SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 later this year.
