Jimmy Carr launched a blistering attack on the unvaccinated fans at his own show, encouraging sceptics of the jab to slap themselves around the face.
The comedian’s Netflix special, His Dark Material, launches on Christmas Day and he shared a teaser for the show which has already divided followers on social media, obviously.
Picking the most contentious topic of the moment, Jimmy, 49, wasn’t fazed to rile up his own audience members.
‘Let’s talk about the controversial thing, the vaccine. Who’s not going to take the vaccine because they think it might be too dangerous?’ he asked fans. ‘Raise your hands…’
After a brief pause looking out to the crowd, he continued: ‘Now take that hand and slap yourself in the f**king face.’
As most of the audience cheered, he said: ‘Hear that? It’s the voice of f**king reason, wasn’t it?
‘The spread of Covid was directly linked to how dense the population is and some of the population, really quite f**king dense.’
Regardless, if anyone in the audience kicked up a fuss he’d only chuck them out anyway, as he recently threw a disruptive heckler out of his Dorset show as part of his Terribly Funny tour.
Jimmy’s followers applauded the comic, calling the clip alone an ‘early Christmas present’.
Another cheered: ’You tell em Jimmy! Keen to watch the rest when it comes out :),’ which was echoed by many more on Twitter.
In the UK alone, more than 46 million people have received at least two doses of the vaccine while 17.5million have already received their booster jab.
