Chuggs Wallis may be facing an early exit on Love Island 2021 – but this isn’t the first time he’s appeared on a reality TV series, having previously shown up on Made In Chelsea.
On Monday night’s episode of the ITV2 dating competition, Rachel Finni must decide whether she wants to couple up with Brad McClelland or Chuggs after getting to know them both for a day.
A first look at the episode showed Rachel looking upset about her decision while being consoled by the girls, although viewers are yet to find out who she chose.
As fans wait to discover whether it’ll be Brad or Chuggs packing their bags, some fans made a fun – but unsurprising – revelation about Chuggs, who owns a bucket hat business.
They realised that Chuggs previously made a brief appearance on Made in Chelsea in 2019, showing up in the 10th episode of series 17 when Verity Bowditch and Amelia Mist went speed dating.
In the episode, Chuggs is beaming as he sits down opposite Amelia, asking her: ‘So, what brings you here, speed dating?’, to which she replies: ‘Desperation.’

His very short stint on Made In Chelsea three years ago may not come as a total shock to Love Island viewers, with several already saying they think he’d be a good fit on the Channel 4 show.
‘You’ll think Chuggs thought he was going for a Made in Chelsea casting and ended up on #loveisland,’ one person recently tweeted.

‘I feel like Chuggs thinks he’s on Made In Chelsea,’ another added, while someone else wrote: ‘I wouldn’t be surprised if Chuggs ends up on Made In Chelsea after Love Island.’
Been there, done that!
When Chuggs arrived on Love Island as a latecomer alongside Liam Reardon, islander Hugo Hammond immediately realised that he already knew Chuggs in the outside world.
A source reportedly told The Sun that they were love rivals at university, as ‘they were both interested in the same girl and went head to head on trying to date her’.
Nonetheless, Hugo and Chuggs have seemed pretty chummy so far.
Let’s just see if the old pals are going to be bidding farewell later on when Rachel’s decision is revealed.
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
