It’s only taken a few days but we’ve finally had the first ‘L bomb’ on Love Island 2021 – aside the one in the title, obviously.

On tonight’s episode, Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish took their romance to the next level as they were whisked away on a romantic date, where they shared a kiss.

Upon their return to the villa, she spilled the details on their private time to best pal Kaz Kamwi, where she confessed that she is ‘falling’ for her co-star.

‘I might be a little bit falling,’ she whispered as her pal cheered her on.

‘Are you going to make me say this out loud? I think I might be falling in love.’

Kaz was precisely all of us, letting an ear-piercing scream at the announcement.

The L Bomb comes after the pair, aka Jiberty, hit a rough patch in their budding romance, when Jake blurted out that if someone else entered the villa who was his type, he would be interested in speaking to them.

He also told Hugo Hammond that he didn’t feel like he wanted to rip her clothes off every time he saw her, comments which sparked doubts in the minds of many watching from home.

Speaking of their prior issues on the date, Liberty confessed: ‘Obviously it was upsetting at first because I thought, what more are you looking for? I feel like in a way it stabilised me.

‘So instead of thinking with my heart, I’m also thinking with my head. I think that’s what I needed. It’s actually, I think it’s done good. Done more good than bad.’

Reassuring her, Jake added: ‘I think it would take a lot… When I say a lot, I mean a lot.’

Love Island continues daily, at 9pm, on ITV2.
