The Cabins is just days away from arriving on ITV2, and the show is already shaping up to be one of our TV obsessions of the New Year.
Bearing a striking resemblance to the UK’s favourite dating programme Love Island, the show could be the perfect winter warmer people to see in 2021.
The premise is simple. Singletons taking part in The Cabins will spend 24 hours with potential matches in an effort to figure out how compatible they are, deciding at the end whether or not they wish to spend more time together.
The show recently unveiled the spectacular cabins they’ll be staying in, and they look like ideal places to bunk down in during lockdown.
Now, ITV have revealed the line-up for the new series, meaning telly fans can familiarise themselves with the singletons before the series begins.
Here’s who you can expect to see looking for love on the programme.
Architecture student Abraham is looking forward to a ‘once in a lifetime experience’ on the show, with dreams of finding someone who could be a ‘partner, best friend and girlfriend’ all in one. The East Londoner describes his celeb crush as Love Island’s Joanna Chimonides.
Cabin crew and make-up artist Holly admits that her love life is an ‘absolute shambles’ and she ‘doesn’t have any luck with the lads’. She’s hoping that all changes as she enters the cabins, and she’s looking to find someone with a ‘fun side’ before things get romantic.
Sporty lad Mumudo works in footballer as a player and a coach, and his friends would describing as being ‘funny’ and with a ‘good heart’. The Liverpudlian also revealed his celeb crush is Rihanna, and he even DM’d her five years ago. He is still waiting for a response.
Doncaster lass Robyn has been single for four years, and she thinks her divisive views on football could be the reason why. The sales executive is passionate about the game and supports Chelsea, admitting that things haven’t worked out with the last few people she dated because they were Man Utd supporters. Could footballer Mumudo be the one for her?
Jess has had quite the adventure over the last few years. The Welsh 24-year-old previously worked at Walt Disney World in America, and now works as a bingo caller in Newport. She’s looking for someone to keep up with her ‘crazy lifestyle’.
Sarah’s love life is in need of a reboot. She has a number of jobs, including waitress, murder mystery actress, personal trainer and fitness model, and she’s been ‘single for a really long time and kind of got to the point where I feel like there is nobody out there’. Hopefully the show can change all that.
After a series of serious relationships all came to an end, Leeds lad Tom is hoping to change his luck on The Cabins. The national business development manager is looking forward to ‘lively and romantic’ dates. He’s a man of hidden talents too, having learned to both snowboard and fly planes. Impressive stuff.
Tattoo apprentice and model Sofia has a ‘tragic love life’ who has had bad experiences on dates – including setting herself on fire during one awkward encounter. Hopefully she doesn’t repeat it on the show. She’s also hoping she doesn’t scare people off with her sparkly dress sense
Will is an electrician, but he’s still looking for his romantic life to find a spark. He describes himself as a ‘joker’ and a ‘party boy’, with a secret talent for salsa dancing. His celeb crush is Margot Robbie and he says he’s been compared to TOWIE star Mark Wright on more than one occasion.
Customer service operative Olivia from Hull is looking for someone ‘bubbly, lively, outgoing’ and ‘romantic’ after living the single life for 10 months. She says her celebrity crush is Callum Izzard from Ibiza Weekender, and also revealed that she has never had a good date in her life. Surely, it’s time that changed.
Bin man Joel is hoping he doesn’t get dumped on the show. The Swansea lad has found it tough to find a partner in Swansea, and he hopes the Cabins could be the way to change his luck around. He’s also dying to get into the jacuzzi – who can blame hiim?
Operations manager Charlotte is bored of dating apps, and is looking to have a real laugh on the show. She says her celeb crush is Jennifer Lawrence, because of her wicked sense of humour, and after starting to date women just 18 moths ago, she’s still finding her type..
