Ronan Keating has teased a potential collaboration with LadBaby as both of them vie for the Christmas number one.
The former Boyzone star, 43, joined Alex Scott to co-host The One Show on Friday when he teased the possible team-up.
Alex asked him: ‘A little birdy, and the birdy may not be right, told me that you might have had a little chat with LadBaby over the weekend?’
Ronan remained cagey as he replied: ‘This didn’t come from me, nobody’s listening… we might be doing something.
‘We might get together over the weekend, we’ll see… you never know what might happen.’
LadBaby are going for their third consecutive Christmas number one – a feat to beat even The Beatles – with their take on Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing, called Don’t Stop Me Eating.
Appearing on Ronan’s show on Magic FM earlier in the day, LadBaby asked Ronan whether he might jump on a track with them.
Mark from LadBaby said: ‘I think you should come and do a duet with us Ronan, I think that would be the perfect Christmas record!’
Ronan also joked that he had his finger in many pies in his attempt to get the Christmas number one, telling guest Gary Barlow: ‘I’m hedging my bets this year, I’m on a lot of different songs.
‘I’m on the Keith Lemon Do They Know It’s Christmastime the celeb edition, it’s fab. I’ve got my own single out called The One with Nina Nesbitt, I think I did backing vocals on yours but you don’t know about that!’
If LadBaby get their wish, it looks like Ro might even end up on another Christmas record before the year is out…
The One Show airs weekdays from 7pm on BBC One.
