Elektra Fence, the latest queen eliminated from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, has recalled the moment she and her fellow competitors realised that Victoria Scone had hurt herself on stage, as they were able to hear her ‘knee bounce’ on the floor.
In episode 2 of Drag Race UK series 3, Victoria revealed that while competing against Krystal Versace in the first lip sync of the season, she sustained an injury when her knee bashed on the ground.
While Victoria soldiered on during the dance workout maxi challenge in last night’s episode, she ended up having to remain seated while her teammates performed the choreography taught to them by Strictly star Oti Mabuse, before taking to the runway in a stunning red gown and flats.
At the end, head judge RuPaul informed Victoria that her knee required ‘additional evaluation’, and so they were going to find out from the doctors whether it was safe for her to remain in the competition or not.
On Thursday evening, Elektra became the second queen to be eliminated from the series after going up against Vanity Milan in the lip sync, showing off stellar, meme-worthy moves.
While speaking to Metro.co.uk and other press after her exit, Elektra said that the minute Victoria landed on the floor in the first lip sync, they all knew that something wasn’t right.
‘Obviously we all saw what happened. In the moment when Victoria did that knee bounce in the first episode, we knew that she must have hurt herself, because you heard that knee bounce. Like from the back, it was like “boom”!’ Elektra said.
Elektra, who dubbed herself a ‘pocket rocket’, almost gave some more details about how Victoria has been doing since her injury, before stopping herself from dishing out any spoilers.
Continuing to sing Victoria’s praises, she said: ‘You knew that she must have hurt herself, obviously she was on the chair, but babes – she slayed it from being sat down. She is one to watch. She was sat down and she still slayed it.’
During last night’s episode, several Drag Race UK fans expressed their disappointment over Elektra’s departure, as they felt that she deserved to stay in the competition for longer.
While Elektra said that she doesn’t think she deserved to be in the bottom three, she added: ‘It is what it is.’
‘I wish Ru had gone double shantay, you both stay. It is what it is, isn’t it?’ she said.
‘I can learn and Vanity was incredible. I wouldn’t want to lose to anybody else but Vanity, absolute star.’
As for the memes of Elektra spinning on the floor, with fans comparing her moves to a spider being sprayed with hairspray or headphones getting tangled in a bag, she’s absolutely here for them.
‘They are killing me. The memes – give me all the memes. I love them,’ she exclaimed, adding that she would be all in if given the chance to show off her dancing chops on Strictly Come Dancing.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK returns next Thursday at 7pm on BBC Three and is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
