RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars The Vivienne, Tia Kofi and Veronica Green were caught up in a bomb threat as they rehearsed for an upcoming show.

The drag queens had been training at London nightclub Heaven when police stormed the venue after an anonymous tip-off led them to believe that a bomb had been planted inside.

However, cops soon established that the package wasn’t suspicious and believe it could have been part of an ‘intentional hoax’.

‘The door was later found to be open and it seemed like someone had got in during the rehearsals. It seemed like a targeted attack because, due to Covid restrictions, the place is usually empty,’ a source revealed.

They added to The Sun: ‘But it appeared someone knew they were there and planted the hoax package.’

Met Police said the item was examined by specialist officers and ‘subsequently confirmed as non-suspicious’.

‘The circumstances in which the item was found suggest that it was part of an intentional hoax and an investigation is under way to identify the person or persons responsible,’ a spokesperson said.

‘There is no indication, at this early stage, of a particular motive but that will form one of the key lines of enquiry for officers as their investigation continues.’

Heaven nightclub owner Jeremy Joseph branded whoever is behind the attack as a ‘sick individual’.

‘I’m not going to lie, it was frightening,’ he wrote on social media. ‘But I can’t praise the police dog team enough, they were amazing, they have to enter a building not knowing if a threat is real or a hoax.

‘Whoever made the call is nothing but a sick individual, but the police took every precaution before re-opening the streets & I can’t thank them enough.’ (sic)

The Vivienne, who won Drag Race UK series one, was also shaken by the incident.

‘Very scary situation today at rehearsals,’ they wrote. ‘Thank you so much @metpoliceuk for making us feel so safe and handling the situation perfectly. What a day.’

Meanwhile, Tia Kofi penned: ‘Today was a terrifying experience. A bomb threat was called in while rehearsing for Drag Queens of Pop with @THEVIVIENNEUK @veronicaqween and @ShaniaPain1.

‘The police evacuated us and closed down the whole area. We’re all safe but shaken up. Thank you for all the kind messages.’
