Spice Girls legends Emma Bunton and Mel B set to wreak havoc on The Circle USA – by posing as a man named Jared

Actual Spice Girls’ legends Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown (aka Mel B) have entered the world of The Circle USA as catfishes – and we’re so excited to watch.

Netflix has been teasing the return of the reality show in recent days, and the first few episodes are finally on the streaming platform.

The series follows candidates who are competing for the grand prize of $150,000 (£120,000) as they present online personas that are either of themselves or as a complete catfish, as they communicate to each other solely online whilst in self-isolated apartments.

In classic The Circle style, not everything is as it seems – with some catfishes amongst the line-up of contestants.

But, two contestants posing as someone else entirely are pretty recognisable faces.

Yep, Spice Girls stars Mel B and Emma are in the house as a man called Jared.

They could increase the prize from $50,000 (£40,000) to $150,000 for their fellow castmates if they manage to convince their fellow cast members.

Posted on Netflix’s social media, a video was captioned: ‘Two SPICY catfishes have entered The Circle. The first four episodes of the brand new season are now streaming!’

‘We are coming into The Circle to spice things up a bit, don’t you think?’ Emma began in the teaser.

The pair are ‘massive fans’ of the reality show, with Mel adding: ‘So when they asked us [to appear], no brainer.’

Emma weighed in: ‘Nobody’s going to know it’s us!’

The pair are going in as catfishes, but also have ‘no idea’ who they are set to be playing.

‘I’m just dying to know who it’s going to be,’ Baby Spice teased.

‘We have been lucky enough to have been able to travel the world, we’ve performed in stadiums, it’s been incredible.

‘To be in The Circle, I think we’re going to be seen in a different light,’ added Mel.

Elsewhere, they also joked about each other’s worst traits, with Emma jokingly branded ‘a bitch’ by Mel.

It’s not the first time the showbiz world has mixed in and posed as a civilian alongside the contestants.

Fans of the UK series might remember TV legend Richard Madeley popped up in series two – as a 27 year old woman named… Judy.

The first four episodes of The Circle are streaming on Netflix now.
