Squid Game actress Reagan To, 10, forbidden from watching Netflix show despite voicing Red Light, Green Light doll

The actress who voiced the chilling Squid Game Red Light, Green Light doll has revealed she’s not allowed to watch the Netflix series.

Reagan To, aged 10, sounded the giant killing machine in the English dubbed version of the South Korean.

However, the youngster’s parents have forbidden her from tuning in.

‘I have not watched any of it,’ To told The Morning Show on Tuesday. ‘My mum has shown me just a little bit but right before the violent part she stopped it.

She added: ‘Even my brother – he’s 14 – my parents don’t even allow him to watch it.’

Squid Game has been given the recommended 15 age rating for ‘sexual violence references, injury detail, crude humour, sex, suicide, sexual images, violence.’

Given the amount of people who die in the first episode alone, this is far from surprising.

In October, some schools warned parents not to let their children watch the drama due to its gruesome content.

Squid Game season two was confirmed earlier this month, with creator Hwang Dong-hyuk announcing the news.

Speaking to the Associated Press, he said: ‘So there’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season.

‘So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say, there will indeed be a second season.’

The screenwriter added that the ideas ‘in my head right now’, as he is in the ‘planning process’ at the moment.

‘But I do think it’s too early to say when and how it’s going to happen,’ he continued ‘So I will promise you this… Gi-hun will come back, he’ll do something for the world.’

Squid Game is available to stream on Netflix.
