Stacey Solomon, Emma Willis and Anna Richardson are reportedly in the running to be named host of the Changing Rooms reboot.

Channel 4’s revamp of the show, which originally ran from 1996 to 2004, had signed Davina McCall as host but the presenter was forced to pull out in March after scheduling complications from Covid saw her overstretched.

A TV source told The Sun:  ‘Channel 4 producers were left with a real headache of finding someone good enough to replace Davina as presenter.’

Emma, 45, cut her teeth presenting on Big Brother, and now works on The Circle, while Anna, 50, has hosted shows including Naked Attraction and Supersize vs Superskinny.

Meanwhile former Queen of the Jungle Stacey, 31, has been a regular panellist on Loose Women since 2016 and recently debuted as a presenter on new BBC home-decluttering series Sort Your Life Out.

The source described Emma as a ‘TV veteran’ and outstanding presenter’, while Anna is a ‘seasoned presenter’ with ‘a really individual style’.

Although Stacey lacks presenting experience compared to both Emma and Anna, the source labelled her ‘the queen of crafting’ and acknowledged that she has ‘a real eye for design’.

The source continued: ‘It all boils down to who can make the filming dates now. All three women have been so impressive and whoever can fit the work into their schedule will land the job.’

Channel 4 declined to comment when approached by Metro.co.uk.

Flamboyant designer-turned-host Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen will also be involved in this new take on the show that made him a household name.

On announcement of the news, he said: ‘It’s taken quite a lot of coaxing to get me under the Changing Rooms banner once more, but nothing like as much coaxing as it’s going to take for me to squeeze those leather trousers back on.’

Original host Carol Smillie, however, is reportedly upset to have not been asked back.

In April, a source confirmed to The Sun that Carol wasn’t on the list, even after Davina bowed out, despite being the ‘heart and soul’ of the show for years.
