The pair have been at the centre of speculation but have been laughing off the rumours.
Asked what the highlight of her experience has been, AJ said: ‘Oh my god, all of it. But nothing will ever top meeting Kai for the first time, we’re just getting on like a house on fire.
‘And coming out in the Strictly ballroom, doing the jive and I was so shocked with everyone’s positive comments, like there’s no feeling like it,’ she added on The One Show.
Following some heated performances, fans of the show have speculated if the dance partnership between the TV presenter, 33, and the pro, 26, has developed into more than friendship.
The couple has been storming the leaderboard in the beloved BBC series and the judges have continuously praised the pair for their chemistry on the dancefloor.
‘I find it exciting that everyone’s interested in us enough to take note of all of these things,’ AJ enthused.
‘The way I see it is, everyone can see how well we’re getting on and how hard we’re working in order to try our best each and every week to put in a solid performance.’
When asked whether the rumours about them being more than friends are true or not, she joked: ‘Well, one thing that is definitely for sure is, we are doing a lot of dancing.’
This is Kai’s first year on the show, having previously performed on the Irish version of Dancing With The Stars.
AJ and partner Kai have been absolutely smashing it in recent weeks, and narrowly missed out on a perfect score last weekend after their insanely polished Charleston.
Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday at 6:40pm on BBC One. The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm.
