Strictly Come Dancing contestant Dan Walker spoke out about his wife Sarah after performing a beautiful Viennese Waltz.

Dan was back to the ballroom dances in the latest edition of Strictly, with partner Nadiya Bychkova.

The pair already revealed earlier this week they chose to perform the routine to Sarah’s favourite song, She’s Always A Woman, by Billy Joel.

The routine didn’t disappoint as the show’s opener, with Dan scoring his highest score yet of 28 points.

But when he went back up to chat with host Claudia Winkleman, he used the opportunity to ‘gush’ about his lovely wife, leaving some of those watching in tears.

”I’m going to gush over her for a moment,’ he told Claudia.

‘She’s one of those people the more you know her, the more you love her, and I’ve known her and loved her for over half my life.’

The camera then panned to Sarah, with Dan adding: ‘There she is, she’s such a special person and I love her to bits. I hope she enjoyed that because we really loved that.’

Those watching at home soon commented on the adorable moment, which left them very emotional indeed.

Another said: ‘Alright Dan is a sweetie, shouting out his wife like that #Strictly.’

‘Dan what a beautiful thing to say about your wife #Strictly,’ wrote a third.

A fourth shared: ‘Dan is making me cry about his wife. #Strictly

With the competition continuing to hot up, will Dan manage to make it through to another week and avoid the dreaded dance-off?

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow night at 7.15pm on BBC One.
