The professional dancer, who is currently embroiled in romance rumours with his partner Ranvir Singh, spoke out after it was revealed on today’s Good Morning Britain that he wants to be in the show’s first all-male couple with Piers.
‘I would love to dance with him, sexy Piers,’ Giovanni insisted. ‘I would love to get down with him on the dance floor and see what he’s really made of.’
He continued to the Mirror: ‘I would destroy his confidence in a week. In a week we will realise “Who’s this man? What is that? Is it really Piers?”‘
We wonder what Piers will make of this…
Giovanni’s savage quip comes after Ranvir confirmed that he’d like to be matched with Piers on next year’s Strictly.
‘You said Giovanni said he’d rather be dancing with me,’ Piers said.
‘He did!’ Ranvir exclaimed. ‘He said he would like to be in the first all-male same-sex couple with Piers.’
Piers seemed more than happy to take Giovanni up on his offer and nodded as Ranvir delivered the news.
This year’s Strictly welcomed the show’s first-ever same-sex couple in the form of Katya Jones and Nicola Adams.
Sadly their time on the series was cut short after Katya tested positive for coronavirus, but it’s been revealed they will be returning for the final.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.25pm on BBC One.
