Strictly Come Dancing viewers have celebrated judge Motsi Mabuse’s return to the show following her brief absence, saying ‘her energy was missed’.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Motsi was going to miss Strictly for a short period of time after being forced to isolate after travelling to Germany for an ‘urgent reason’.

She later revealed that she had to make the trip after thieves targeted her dance school.

After professional dancer Anton Du Beke temporarily stood in on the judging panel, having been eliminated from the competition in the first week with his partner Jacqui Smith, last week Motsi confirmed she would be returning to the show.

And on Saturday night, she made her highly-anticipated comeback… much to the delight of many Strictly fans.

‘Absolutely delighted Motsi Mabuse is BACK. Her energy was missed,’ one person tweeted.

‘Awww I’ve missed Motsi Mabuse the past two weeks, this is only her second year on Strictly I can defo say she is my fave judge.’

Some Strictly viewers said that while they were very happy to see Motsi back on the show, they would have loved for Anton to remain on the judging panel as well.

‘I missed Motsi she’s so funny, and I’m so glad she’s back …. but I do miss Anton as a judge!’ one person stated.

‘Love Motsi, but missing Anton. Can’t believe #StrictlyComeDancing haven’t introduced a fourth desk,’ another remarked.

On 13 November, Motsi shared a photograph on Instagram of the shattered glass door of her dance school after it was targeted by thieves, writing in German: ‘Unfortunately we have no good news.’

‘We know we have been targeted on purpose and we will improve security in our school so that this will not happen again.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday at 7.25pm on BBC One.
