If someone has the means to build their own home, unless they have previous experience in architecture, one would expect they would let a professional take the lead on the designing process.
But for singer HRVY, he was able to bring his vision to life with the help of the video game Minecraft.
The 21-year-old recently shared a picture on his Instagram Story of his property covered in scaffolding, writing: ‘Haven’t shown anyone pictures yet but my lil house is almost built.’
Afterwards, a fan reshared the photograph on Instagram with the caption: ‘House looks so sick, actually reminds me of a Minecraft house.’
HRVY then revealed that this assumption was right on the money, stating: ‘Fun fact: I built my house on Minecraft and then showed the architect.’
In a series of videos shared on his Instagram Story, the singer captured the room that will be his bedroom, complete with a ceiling-high window opposite his bed.
‘Pretty cool though, I’m excited,’ he stated.
In another video, HRVY appeared to poke fun at his culinary skills, writing in the caption: ‘Might burn my house down if I cook might not, let’s see,’ as Burn Baby Burn played in the background.
In the end, comedian Bill Bailey and his partner Oti Mabuse took home the Glitterball Trophy, with HRVY and Janette, Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer and Maisie Smith and Gorka Márquez finishing as runners-up.
At the beginning of the competition, Janette feared HRVY would have to drop out after he tested positive for coronavirus.
However, he was fortunately cleared to compete, with rumours of a romance with his competitor Maisie following him every salsa step of the way.
