Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara has revealed how she’s missing her husband Aljaž Škorjanec after the show forced them to separate.

The dancing competition finally returned to our screens last night where the celebrities were coupled up with their professional partners.

And while revealing how excited she was to start dancing with the singer HRVY, Janette also touched on the new coronavirus guidelines – meaning she can’t see her man until they’re booted off the competition.

Yes, each contestant has now formed their own social bubble with the dancers to help stall the spread of Covid-19.

And it appears Janette and Aljaž are finding it tough being apart from one another.

‘I miss him terribly,’ the 36-year-old told host Claudia Winkleman on the launch show. ‘But we’re doing what’s best for the show. I’m so excited to start with HRVY.’

Viewers praised the show’s return for bringing them a piece of normality in such uncertain times. after it was delayed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While Janette will be dancing with HRVY, her hubby has been paired up with the BBC Radio 1 presenter Clara Amfo.

They’ll be joined by the likes of Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh who is dancing with Giovanni Pernice, Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer, American footballer Jason Bell and Luba Mushtuk, as well as comedian Bill Bailey and his partner Oti Mabuse.

Boxer Nicola Adams will be making history this year as she has joined the first ever same-sex pairing with Katya Jones.

But it appears fans have already chosen their ‘obvious’ winner, and took to Twitter full of hope that EastEnders star Maisie Smith will take home the 2020 Glitter Ball trophy.

We guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One at 7.25pm.
