The contestants were forced to quit the BBC One series earlier this month after Katya tested positive for coronavirus, but will be making their grand comeback to discuss their untimely departure on the sister show.
The duo will be interviewed by presenter Rylan Clarke Neal, who is also returning to the series after having to isolate for a fortnight.
Rylan announced the exciting news on Twitter, writing: ‘Tonight I’m back a day early on @bbcstrictly #ItTakesTwo, joining me for the first time @NicolaAdamsOBE and @Mrs_katjones finally have their final chat, @BillBailey and @OtiMabuse, @ianwaite will be here and it’s the launch of the PRO CHALLENGE! With @gorkamarquez1 .6.30pm BBC2.’
Nicola was ‘devastated’ that her Strictly journey had to come to an end over her partner’s positive test result.
‘Hey guys! I’m absolutely devastated my Strictly journey has come to an end so soon,’ she said in a statement at the time.
‘I had so much more to give and so many people to win this for!
‘But I just want to say a huge thank you to Katya for being the best dance partner anyone could ask for. She pushed me way out of my comfort zone and it’s been an incredible experience.’
Meanwhile, Rylan was forced to miss two weeks of Strictly: It Takes Two after coming into contact with someone with coronavirus, despite testing negative himself.
He tweeted: ‘I found out this week that someone I have been in recent contact with outside of work has tested positive for coronavirus. I am therefore now following the government guidelines and having to self isolate.
‘I have sought a Covid test and thankfully that has returned a negative result.
‘That does mean I will miss the next two weeks of Strictly It Takes Two and my BBC Radio 2 Saturday show.
‘I look forward to being back soon and wish all the couples good luck for this weekend.’
Strictly: It Takes Two airs tonight at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
