Tess Daly has shared a trip down memory lane to celebrate husband Vernon Kay’s stint on I’m A Celebrity.

The Strictly host shared an old school snap of the pair on holiday together, and used the moment to praise her hubby’s efforts in the Welsh castle so far.

After taking on the eating challenge Frights Of The Round Table on Tuesday, even Tess had to admit she was shocked at her husband’s resolve.

Next to the photo, she wrote: ‘So proud of Vernon in his first trial last night on [I’m A Celebrity], he aced it!! No idea how he managed to clear his plate though!

‘Missed him today and looking through old photos found this from a trip to Ibiza probably about 17 years ago…He’s still got the same hair!’

She ended with: ‘GOOD LUCK TONIGHT Vernon!’

Vernon and Tess have been married since 2003, and together have two daughters – Phoebe, 16, and Amber, 12.

The family have been watching intently as Vernon spends time with 11 other celebs in North Wales as he becomes one of the leading members of the camp.

It was actually Tess who convinced Vernon to take part, after he was previously approached for the series.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs nightly at 9pm on ITV.
