The Cabins: First look inside cosy lodgings on new Love Island-style show

ITV has released a first look inside the cosy lodgings where contestants taking part in upcoming show The Cabins will be staying… and boy do they look snug!

A few days into the new year, a new reality series called The Cabins is set to begin, bearing a strong resemblance to the nation’s favourite dating competition, Love Island.

Singletons taking part in The Cabins will spend 24 hours with potential matches in an effort to figure out how compatible they are, deciding at the end whether or not they wish to spend more time together.

While their focus will be on trying to find their perfect match, one can’t help but think they could be distracted by just how lovely the cabins they’re staying in actually are.

There are three cabins in total on the show, each kitted out with a steamy hot tub, cosy outdoor seating decked out with cushions and blankets and a fully-equipped kitchen where they can cook meals for each other.

Honestly, it sounds like our absolute dream staycation.

To start with, the exterior of the cabins look like utter winter wonderland paradise, complete with twinkling outdoor lighting, the aforementioned hot tub (which we are extremely envious of) and a little fire pit in the middle.

S’mores anyone?

As we go inside, the interior of the cabins is filled with a warming colour palette of blues and yellows, creating an extremely calming atmosphere.

What’s more, there appears to be a pile of board games in the corner of the living room. Perhaps the participants will try to play their way into each other’s hearts?

In the bedrooms, contestants will be able to enjoy the cool fresh air when they step out on the balcony and can enjoy a snuggle on the beds on top of a mound of pillows.

And if not, there’s a perfectly comfortable-looking sofa to the side as well.

The arrival of The Cabins is sure to offer viewers a welcome source of distraction in the absence of the summer series of Love Island earlier this year, which was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

ITV promised that Love Island will be back in 2021 ‘stronger than ever’.

The Cabins starts January 4 at 9pm on ITV2.
