The Masked Singer: Fans taunt Joss Stone with Sausage gags over latest cooking post

Joss Stone’s fans are convinced she’s Sausage on The Masked Singer and subsequently teased the singer over her latest cooking post on Instagram.

The 33-year-old – who welcomed her first baby last month – has been interacting with her 300,000 Instagram followers by taking part in some pretty tasty-looking cook-a-longs in lockdown.

Yesterday, the You Had Me hitmaker rustled up some banging home fries – aka fried potatoes.

Alongside a photo of herself pouting and holding up a giant kitchen knife, she wrote: ‘Join me for #cookingwithjoss in 5 mins , over on face book ? today we’re making home Fry’s , codys fav thing to have for breakfast . So I had to learn to make them to keep the breakfast smiles alive in this house ! X.’ (Sic.)

Cute.

But The Masked Singer fans relished in the opportunity to poke fun at Joss, who they believe (as do we) that she is without a doubt the incredible voice behind Sausage after hearing all the clues so far.

‘Sausage I’m so proud of you!’ enthused one fan, which was followed by: ‘Sausages will be on the menu I’m sure.’

One more wrote: ‘Sausage you are amazing!’

Should Joss be the soulful tones of the greasy Sausage, she is hotly tipped to succeed Nicola Roberts as winner of The Masked Singer this weekend.

But the competition is tight. Both Badger – tipped to be Ne-Yo – and Robin – the face of JLS condoms, Aston Merrygold – have both been flawless from day one.

While Joss is a firm favourite to be unmasked on Saturday, Stacey Solomon is also in the running for fans, but Sheridan Smith has been officially ruled out after viewers heard her perform a duet with Amanda Holden on Musicals: The Greatest Show.

The Masked Singer concludes Saturday at 7pm on ITV.

The Masked Singer series 2: Who is behind each mask?

With the nation more or less confined to their living rooms every Saturday night, The Masked Singer has proven to be something of a lockdown 3.0 saviour. While the performances are of course a draw, most of the fun lies in guessing just who is behind each mask. Here are the clues and theories so far:
