Will there be a series 2 of The Tourist?

There’s currently no word on whether there will be a second series.

However, it doesn’t mean we should rule it out completely – it may well be decided down the line that there’s scope to bring back the series for a second round.

How many episodes of series 1 are there?

There are six hour-long episodes in total of the new drama, with the programme airing on BBC One every Sunday,

However, for anyone who can’t wait to see more, all episodes are currently available on BBC iPlayer.

Straight from the minds of writers Harry and Jack Williams, a synopsis for the series reads: ‘A British man finds himself in the glowing red heart of the Australian outback, being pursued by a vast tank truck trying to drive him off the road.

‘An epic cat-and-mouse chase unfolds and the man later wakes in hospital, hurt, but somehow alive.

‘Except he has no idea who he is. With merciless figures from his past pursuing him, The Man’s search for answers propels him through the vast and unforgiving outback.’

The Tourist is available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
