Carter Rubin has been crowned the 2020 winner of The Voice USA, becoming the youngest male victor of all time.
The singer, 15, who was mentored by Gwen Stefani, stormed to victory after a fierce battle with his fellow finalists.
He triumphed against John Holiday (Team John Legend), Desz (Team Kelly Clarkson), Jim Ranger, and Ian Flanigan (both Team Blake Shelton), performing his original song Up From Here.
Carter went on to perform a duet with his coach Gwen, with the pair getting festive with their rendition of You Make It Feel Like Christmas.
The teenager was left speechless after his win, simply writing on Instagram: ‘Words will come later. but all i can say is thank you.’
Gwen was clearly thrilled to have her first win after five years on the show, sharing a gleeful video as she shared the happy news.
‘Oh my god we won!’ she screamed as she filmed herself and Carter on stage. ‘This is so crazy, we’re trying to understand that this is happening right now.’
Revelling in Carter’s win, Gwen referenced her fiancee Blake.
‘I just beat Blake Shelton at The Voice, okay? Just so you know,’ she laughed, panning to her fiancee, who looked less than impressed.
‘This show’s rigged,’ he joked.
Carter may have blown the judges away, but he certainly wasn’t the only contestant to impress them during the process, with John’s act, also named John, dedicating one of his performances to the singer and his wife Chrissy Teigen after they suffered a miscarriage.
As he reacted to Holiday’s performance of Coldplay’s Fix You, Legend stated: ‘I mean, I’m over here crying.
‘When I talked to John about doing this song, I just said it would mean a lot to us if you just give your emotional best performance and let yourself be not perfect, let yourself just live in the emotion of the song. And we felt it.’
