Alex Høgh Andersen has taken fans behind the scenes of the explosive Vikings finale, sharing a series of new pictures and videos from the set.
The actor, who plays Ivar the Boneless on the show, posed for snaps as filming wrapped on the final ever episodes of the hit drama. Now, he’s shared them for fans to enjoy.
The post features videos of the climactic battle from season six, with Alex preparing for action as smoke drifts across the huge crowd of extras. He also poses for a snap with co-star Marco Ilsø.
There’s another fascinating clip that shows the moment an actor has his legs taken from underneath him, using green screen technology to capture the footage.
Alex added the caption: ‘Here’s a few photos and videos I snapped on set while shooting the last 2 episodes of #Vikings. If you haven’t watched them yet look out for minor spoilers. Enjoy! Xx’
Vikings came to a dramatic finale recently, with the second half of season six arriving on Amazon Prime Video, and History in Canada.
The final series followed characters including Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig), and Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith), all sons of the late Viking warrior Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel).
While the historical sage has come to an end, there’s still a lot for fans to look out for. Spin-off series Valhalla was announced back in 2019, developed by Vikings creator Michael Hirst and Die Hard writer Jeb Stuart.
The series will pick up around 100 years after the end of the original show, as the age of Vikings is coming to an end.
Vikings is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
