Daisy May Cooper is all of us as she recaps ‘absolutely beautiful’ trip to Asda amid lockdown tier life

Daisy May Cooper has pretty much summed up what it’s like to hit the peak of excitement in lockdown tier life, with an ‘absolutely beautiful’ trip to Asda.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues and case numbers continue to increase across England, many people are still being forced to adhere to strict restrictions in place in order to control the spread of Covid-19.

We’ve had national lockdowns and tier-systems put in place, with outings being reduced to heading out for a walk or taking a trip to your local supermarket.

Summing up how most of us are feeling, Daisy tried to share a little light relief with her Instagram followers as she recapped her trip to Asda that was ‘more exciting than going to Alton Towers’.

Following her on-point video about January diets, the This Country star, 39, delighted fans with a funny TikTok video of her rocking a much loved lockdown look – a towel wrapped around her head (because why bother drying it when you’ve got nowhere to go, right?) – as she talked us through her supermarket highlights. Boy, do we relate.

Comedian Daisy told fans: ‘I queued up for ages to get into Asda yesterday and it was more exciting than going to Alton Towers.

‘I was just pootling around the George section and looking at the mugs in the home and ware section. I don’t get paid to promote this sh*t, but it was just absolutely beautiful.’

‘I don’t want to be anywhere else but here,’ she teased, as she captioned her post: ‘When you’ve got no where else to go.’

Daisy’s fans and celebrity pals totally got it, with Davina McCall commenting: ‘This is my life at the moment.’

Susannah Constantine posted: ‘Thank god for you DM,’ while Mother Pukka founder Anna Whitehouse wrote: ‘I FEEL SEEN. Better than the Thunder Looper. Better than Nemesis. Better than life itself.’

‘Day out for me before covid to be fair,’ joked one fan, while another was grateful for Daisy bringing the laughs during a tough time. They commented: ‘Thank you so much Daisy for the smiles. Isolating away from my family, having a sh*t time and this has made me smile for the first time in days xxx.’

It comes after Daisy amused fans by revealing the oddest Christmas present she has recieved, while checking in with fans over the holidays.

The actress was given a book on how to use a metal detector by her mother, despite not actually owning one. Slightly baffled, she said: ‘Got this book from my mum and I dont even own a metal detector? What’s the most mental gift you got today b*****ds?’
