If you like to layer your jewellery, you’ll know only too well how often they can get tangled.
That takes away their charm, meaning a sweet multiple necklace look ends up in a twisted mess.
A new hack, however, might just put an end to that, and it only takes about 30 seconds to do.
Shared by jewellery designer Carrie Elizabeth, the hack takes two necklaces and turns them into one (sort of), by fastening each one to the other.
It was a huge hit on Instagram where Carrie posted her trick, and has been labelled a ‘game changer’ by one commenter.
Another wrote: ‘Amazing! I never wear more than one necklace as the tangling issues drive me crazy. Thank you.’
It’s simple to do, and we’ve given you a step-by-step guide below.
Watching Carrie’s video can help if it seems a bit fiddly – it’s not.
- Put two necklaces on, then turn them around so the clasps are on your chest.
- Unclasp the necklaces.
- Re-link each clasp to the link in the other necklace.
- Twist them around and see the results.
If you use this method, not only will you get fewer tangles in your necklaces, you can also adjust the length more easily.
From there, you can also only unclasp one part so you can put them both back on again next time.
It really is the simplest things that end up staying with us, so keep this trick in mind for perfectly-layered necklaces with not a tangle in sight.
