I’m A Celebrity is going from strength after moving to Wales, settling into its new surroundings and shattering viewer ratings, but there’s still one thing missing – Kiosk Kev.
Kev was a mainstay on last year’s show while it was taking place in the jungle, but he’s been unable to take part this year due to international travel restrictions.
Instead, his place has been filled by the equally straight-faced Kiosk Cledwyn, who runs the shop on Castle Gwrych’s grounds.
He’s doing a fine job, but fans were delighted to see a cameo appearance from Kev on the show this week – and it looks like he’s been having fun during his time off.
It turns out Kev’s Welsh ‘cousin’ Cledwyn keeps a picture of his Australian counterpart reclining on the beach in his shack.
It was seen on the show by fans this week, showing him looking more relaxed than ever and finally letting his hair down.
Kev also had a message for the show, with the words ‘good luck’ written on his photo.
Fans were delighted to see him back, loving seeing him back on the show – even if it was only in picture form.
Kiosk Kev, who was actually named Mark Herlaar and had previously appeared on the Australian version of Survivor.
He joined the show in 2018, replacing Kiosk Keith after he was sacked in 2018.
Kev has been keeping fans updated on social media too. He recently shared a picture of Cledwyn, joking that he was looking ‘very happy’.
The actor also recently posted a message for viewers, writing: ‘Hi world. Well normally this time of year I’m playing the roll of kiosk Kev for [I’m a Celebrity]. But due to covid-19 it’s being filmed in Wales and so I’m taking a holiday from slamming shutters on celebrities or offering treats.’
He added: ‘This year I’m kicking back and my cousin kiosk Celdwyn is taking my place in the ye olde shoppe am sure he will do it justice and be more than a happy chap. Well probably not.’
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs nightly at 9pm on ITV.
