Love Island 2021 star Shannon Singh has spoken about former co-star Hugo Hammond, questioning his intentions on the programme.
The model, who became the first islander to be kicked out of the villa after just 2 days, said that Hugo had surprised her with his apparent lack of interest in the girls.
Shannon, 23, also slammed the show for being ‘boring’ and said something was missing from the current series.
Speaking to Daily Star about the lack of romance in the villa, she said: ‘I don’t think there are any strong couples forming.
‘Hugo keeps floating about in friendship couples, I’m like, “Is this friend island Hugo or Love Island?” He’s confusing me a bit, I’m like, “Well, why are you in there?”’
Shannon added: ‘I feel like Hugo isn’t really interested. I don’t know. I think it needs people that have got more love interests.’

It comes after Hugo surprised the islanders and viewers alike as he rejected AJ Bunker on Tuesday’s show – and recommended she crack on with Danny Bibby.
The 25-year-old took the decision to nip any romantic feelings in the bud, despite AJ putting her feelings out there over recent times.
As well as taking issue with Hugo, Shannon then called the current series ‘boring’, insisting that she isn’t bitter about being dumped early on.

‘I don’t know what they’ve done with this series. I think a lot of people are in agreement.
‘People can say I look bitter, I’m not bitter at all, I’m just commenting on what I’m watching and I’m finding it dry. I’m not really into it this year, it’s a really slow burner.’
Shannon’s stay in the villa was short but memorable. The twist even sparked Ofcom complaints from fans, after she was kicked out of the villa after Chloe Burrows decided to couple up with Aaron Francis.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
